This naturally invigorating Pineapple Turmeric Smoothie is great for sluggish mornings or afternoons and has a kick of turmeric and fresh ginger to uplift your mood. Freshly grated ginger in smoothies is my favorite remedy to help relieve bloating and support digestion and it pairs deliciously with antioxidant-packed pineapple. I love making this smoothie when my appetite is low because it’s light and refreshing, but still loaded with nutrition.

This Pineapple Turmeric Smoothie is not only balanced with 20g of quality protein and 12g of healthy fats, but it even contains impressive anti-inflammatory properties from turmeric. This vibrant spice is full of powerful antioxidant compounds and has been used for centuries for its potential health benefits. I always keep it in my pantry to use in both sweet and savory dishes! If you don’t typically cook with turmeric, just add half a teaspoon to any fruity smoothie for an easy way to incorporate it into your diet. What You Need to Make this Smoothie

A few whole food ingredients are all you need to make this delicious drink. I used 310 Organic Unflavored, unsweetened coconut milk, banana, frozen pineapple, turmeric, fresh ginger, and hemp seeds. You can also use fresh turmeric instead, if desired.

How to Make this Smoothie

Let’s finally get to blending! The first step is to peel and mince your ginger. I recommend scraping the skin off with the back of a spoon for the quickest way to remove the outer layer.

Once you have your teaspoon of fresh minced ginger, simply combine all the ingredients into a blender and blend on a medium-to-high setting until a smooth consistency is achieved. Once everything is well incorporated, serve your finished smoothie in a glass and enjoy your nutritious tropical drink!

  • 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/3 cup frozen pineapple
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
