Mango Spice Shake Recipe

 

I know what you’re thinking after reading the title of this recipe… “A spicy smoothie?! That’s just crazy!” Rest assured, the “spice” in this Mango Spice Shake is super mild, addicting and delicious!

What inspired this recipe? I spend a lot of time in Los Angeles, and I’ve grown to love the iconic fruit carts that serve sliced fruits, (like watermelon, mangoes, and pineapple to name a few), topped with chili powder and lime juice! This recipe was created to embody the similar flavors of these exciting fruit cups, where the dash of cayenne pepper truly enhances and complements the fruity notes in this shake!

So, go ahead… Make your taste buds dance with 310 Vanilla, banana, mango, spinach, 310 MCT Oil, a dash of cayenne pepper, and unsweetened almond milk! Not only is this Mango Spice Shake a fun way to expand your palette, but it’s packed with superfoods that will give you the energy to power through your day!

In addition to great taste, mangoes are also a source of fiber, vitamin C and antioxidants, (specifically beta carotene), to support digestion, immunity, and full-body health. Vitamin C can also help promote glowing, radiant skin, to help you feel your best, inside and out!

Hint of Healthy Spice: Cayenne Pepper Spice

The next ingredient we’re highlighting is... (you guessed it), cayenne pepper! As mentioned previously, cayenne pepper may be an unconventional ingredient to add into smoothies, but it pairs extremely well with the mango and banana in this recipe. And, you’ll get a taste of a classic L.A. beach staple food. Start off with just a dash of cayenne and if you’re ready for more heat, feel free to add more afterwards.

As for health benefits, capsaicin, an ingredient in hot peppers, has anti-inflammatory properties that may support heart health and overall health. Inflammation in the body can impact health in many ways, so it’s important to incorporate foods with anti-inflammatory properties, such as cayenne pepper, to help combat the buildup!

Mango Spice Shake Recipe

Prep time: 3 minutes

Blend time: 1 minute

Total time: 4 minutes

Serves 1

Ingredients:

  • 1 scoop 310 Vanilla
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/2 cup frozen mango
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1/2 tbsp 310 MCT Oil
  • 1 dash cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk

Directions:

  1. Combine ingredients in a blender and blend until completely smooth.
  2. Serve and enjoy!

  • 40g carbs
  • 31g net carbs
  • 11.5g fat
  • 19g protein
