This Cran-Apple Smoothie is a tangy and fruity treat that's perfect for the fall season. Blend it up in just a few minutes for a nutritious, vegan-friendly meal or snack!

Cran-Apple Smoothie Recipe

Apple picking is one of my favorite fall activities because it’s a great way to gather the family and enjoy the cool crisp air, while harvesting apples at their peak freshness and ripeness! It’s always such an enjoyable activity, but if you’re like me, you may find yourself with more apples than you anticipated. While there are several ways to enjoy this yummy fruit, I'm a big fan of incorporating apples into my smoothies and have been obsessed with this Cran-Apple Smoothie Recipe!

They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away and while it's an outdated saying, apples are packed with vitamin C and fiber that can provide a major boost for your immunity. This recipe also includes cranberries, which are an incredible superfood with powerful plant compounds and antioxidants to help combat free radicals and further support your immune system. The two fruits together are the perfect combination of sweet and tangy, for a delicious snack or meal!

What You Need to make this Smoothie

This simple recipe requires just a few ingredients including 310 Organic Unflavored, a small apple, frozen cranberries, frozen cauliflower rice, unsweetened almond milk, chia seeds, and ice (optional). I recommend using a sweeter type of apple such as Fuji or Gala apples to help balance the tartness of the cranberries, but if you want an extra-tangy smoothie, try using a Granny Smith apple!

Ways to “Shake Up” this Smoothie

There are countless ways that you can make this smoothie, and it just depends on what you're in the mood for! Some days, I like a more “slushee” consistency, and other days I prefer a thick smoothie texture. To help spark some creativity and inspiration, I’ve included a few of my favorite alternative ingredients for this smoothie, below!

  • Omit frozen cauliflower rice
  • Coconut water or coconut milk instead of almond milk
  • Add Greek yogurt or 310 Collagen for more protein
  • Hemp or flax seed instead of chia seeds
  • Add cinnamon or fresh ginger for a spiced flavor

How to Make this Smoothie

To make this smoothie, first core and slice half an apple. Once you have your apple slices, combine all your ingredients into a blender and gradually blend from a medium to high setting until everything is thoroughly combined, which takes under a minute.

After you reach a smooth consistency, serve your smoothie in your favorite shaker cup and enjoy a yummy, health-boosting treat!

Ingredients:

  • 1 scoop 310 Organic Unflavored
  • 1/2 small apple, sliced 
  • 1/4 cup frozen cranberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen cauliflower rice
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • Optional: 1/2 cup ice

Directions:

  1. Combine ingredients in a blender and blend until completely smooth.
  2. Serve and enjoy!

  • 30g carbs
  • 17g net carbs
  • 13g fiber
  • 8g fat
  • 19g protein
