Berry Ginger Smoothie

One of my favorite ways to stay hydrated throughout hot summer days is with a refreshing-yet-zesty smoothie, and this Berry Ginger Smoothie has been one of my long-time favorites!

The fresh ginger in this smoothie not only gives it a little kick, but it's also great for digestion and might even help support a healthy metabolism! For these reasons, I love having this smoothie in the morning to start the day off strong, but it's also great as a midday snack or fruity dessert.

Keep on reading for the full recipe, plus tips and tricks on how you can perfect this delicious smoothie!

What You Will Need to Make this Smoothie

All you need for this recipe is six simple yet nourishing ingredients: 310 Organic Unflavored, frozen mixed berries, banana, minced fresh ginger, chia seeds, and coconut water. The skin of ginger can be a bit tough, so be sure to peel the herb before chopping it. I find it easiest to cut around the edges using a knife, but you can also use a spoon to scrape it off.

310 Organic Unflavored

To allow the tart berries and spicy ginger in this smoothie to shine through, I decided to go with a scoop of 310 Organic Unflavored! If you haven't gotten yourself a bag of our 310 Organic Unflavored Shake yet, I highly recommend it! It's the only meal replacement shake I've ever tried that doesn't add any additional flavor to smoothies.

And don't get me wrong, I love all the fun flavors of meal replacement powders, but when I make fruit smoothies, I really want the fruit to shine through like a true, refreshing fruit smoothie. Luckily, 310 Organic Unflavored does just that! Plus it offers the same benefits as all the other 310 Shake flavors, like...

  • Free of sugar, gluten, dairy, soy, and nuts
  • Formulated with organic and vegan ingredients
  • 15g of plant-based proteins from pumpkin, brown rice, and pea
  • Blend of organic fruits, veggies and herbs

Ways to "Shake Up" this Recipe

There's really no right or wrong way to make this smoothie! Experimenting with ingredients is half of the fun! You can always change up the base, fruits, or boosters in a smoothie and below are just a few options you can try incorporating into this yummy drink.

  • Milk or non-dairy milk instead of coconut water: Creates a creamier taste
  • Mango and pineapple instead of berries: For a tropical ginger smoothie
  • MCT oil or avocado instead of chia seeds: For a completely smooth and creamy texture
  • Dash of cayenne pepper: If you’re looking for an extra kick of spice!

How to Make this Smoothie

Ready to make this yummy smoothie? Simply combine all your ingredients into a blender and blend until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined into a smooth consistency.
