What was your biggest challenge when it came to losing the weight?

For my whole life, I’ve always been a little overweight. Every time something stressful would happen, I would lose weight from the stress and depression – but I would always gain it back. In fact, over the last 4 years, I’ve gained about 50 lbs.

My biggest struggle with maintaining a healthy weight was that once I dropped pounds, I had no idea how to keep them off. It wasn’t until I finally had a realization that I desperately disliked the way I looked that I knew I needed to take action. And then I came across 310 which I used to help transform myself for the better.

What motivated you to make a change?

In March of this year, my family went on a cruise, and while on it I was embarrassed to wear shorts or anything that showed any skin. My clothes were so tight and I was very uncomfortable the whole time. After the trip is when I decided it was time to finally lose the weight and keep it off.

Upon seeing pictures of myself on that cruise, I remember thinking that I looked awful. And I became determined to work hard and change my eating habits.

Tell us about your success!

It has now been about 4 months since I started to clean up my diet, add in exercise, and start using 310 Shakes on a daily basis, and I feel fantastic. In just this short amount of time, I’ve lost 37 pounds with hard work and motivation.

I started at 199 lbs and I’m now 162 lbs – just 22 lbs away from my ultimate goal of 140 lbs!

By that point, I was more serious about the foods I was putting into my body. I also started walking 5 miles every day, and before I knew it, I had lost 25 lbs I felt great, so I kept going and drinking my shakes!

There were some days that I didn’t feel as motivated, but I kept walking and eating right, even if I didn’t want to. The 310 Nutrition Community has been a huge part of my success and help for the hard days in my journey.

My willpower has never been tested like this before, but I want to be healthy, and I want to be more active, so I just keep going!

Tell us about your healthy lifestyle routine…

My current healthy lifestyle routine includes trying to eat as healthy and clean as possible, which includes one 310 Shake per day.

I’ve never been a breakfast person so I don’t eat it. Instead, I have a small snack of celery or cucumbers mid-morning. I then have my 310 Shake around lunch time as a meal replacement. I don’t include any “add-ins” in my shakes because I need quick and simple – and they don’t need any!

I have an afternoon snack of some veggies and low-fat ranch or some lunch meat and cheese roll-ups. Then for dinner I usually have a grilled chicken salad or a protein and veggies.

As for exercise, I don’t go to the gym and work out because I wouldn’t even know where to start if I went! So, I do what I know I can do. I walk 5 miles a day, 5 times a week.

I actually didn’t start walking until after I started drinking 310 Shakes. They give me a lot more energy so I feel motivated to walk now. 

While I leave the weekends for relaxation, I still have my shakes those days and try to eat healthy. Occasionally, I’ll have cheat days but I try to keep it to small portions.

Currently, my favorite shake recipe includes 310 Mocha Shake, coconut almond milk and a little peanut butter powder – I blend it all up and it’s delicious!

Do you have advice for anyone just starting their journey?

My advice to anyone who is just starting out on their health and weight loss journey is to be patient with yourself. Know you are never alone in this. Don’t get discouraged when others are losing more than you or doing it faster – just stick to it. It didn’t take a week to gain your excess weight, so it will take more than a week to lose it… Just keep going!
